Mohegan Park: This forested area is Norwich’s largest park. The park’s property contains numerous hiking and biking trails, picnic tables, grills, pavilions for rent, a beach, basketball courts, a Mohegan monument, fountain and playgrounds. Spaulding Pond is the main body of water in Mohegan Park. It is open in the summer for swimming and two large playgrounds make this a wonderful spot to “cool down the kids”. Because of its ample, sprawling trails and variety of flora and fauna, Mohegan Park is a destination for nature photographers
Rose Garden: The beautiful Norwich Rose Garden is located on Rockwell Street in Mohegan Park. Situated on two acres of gently sloping parkland, the garden features 2,500 rose bushes in 120 varieties
Norwich RoseGarden Ice Arena offers skating time for amateur and professional skaters as well as for hockey teams. The facility can be rented for private parties and has a full concession area, equipment rentals, and certified instructors. Check out their new site for the latest public skating schedules. Howard Brown Park Located in the heart of downtown on Chelsea Harbor Drive: This Park, complete with a gazebo to escape the sun, offers excellent fishing opportunities from piers. This site is a particularly popular fishing area during the fall striped bass season. Or, arrange your visit during one of the seasonal summer music programs – the crowd rocks at “Rock The Docks” concerts. Or follow the brown and white Long Island Sound Access signs and launch a kayak, the harbor and river are perfect for the sport.

Spectator sports more to your liking? Get tickets to a Connecticut Tigers game. The Tigers are Norwich’s Class A ball team; their home is located in our easy to find Business Park. The games are a fun way to spend an evening and some lucky spectators get to take home a prized ‘foul ball’.
